New rabbi at Hoffman Estates congregation

Rabbi Taron Tachman will be officially installed as the new leader of the Beth Tikvah Congregation, 300 Hillcrest Drive in Hoffman Estates at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16. Previously an associate rabbi at the Temple Sholom of Chicago, Tachman has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan, and a certificate in Jewish communal service from the Sol Drachler Jewish Community Leadership Program. He pursued his rabbinical studies at Hebrew Union College Jewish Institute of Religion in New York City.
