Miltner’s been great for Geneva baseball

I recently had breakfast with a friend of mine at Mel’s Diner in Geneva and conveniently ran into Dennis Miltner, the outgoing president of the Geneva Baseball Association. When I got word of his “retirement” from GBA, I wanted to take a moment to publicly thank Dennis for all his volunteer hours in improving the baseball opportunities for Geneva residents.

Whether it was his efforts to teach skills or improve ball fields or his tireless efforts with the indoor training academy, Dennis always had the best interest of Geneva baseball players in mind.

Further, his consistent professionalism when it came to relationships with the high school program was always recognized and appreciated.

While most volunteers do not expect public thanks, they often never get recognized for the amount of effort they put in. This is one individual who deserves recognition and thanks.
