Mundelein doubles up Carmel

Luis Montenegro scored twice, as Mundelein’s boys soccer team held off host Carmel Catholic 4-2 on Monday.

Alex Nambo and Leo Rodriguez also scored for Mundelein (2-3). Rodriguez added a pair of assists, while Jason Dimitriou set up Montenegro’s first goal.

Round Lake 5, Grayslake Central 2: The Panthers overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit, getting 2 goals from Jordi Rubio and one apiece from Lorenzo Cortez, Ediberto Ramirez and Mauricio Salgado. Salgado added 2 assists. Mariano Navarez and Rubio assisted on goals for Round Lake, as well.

Grayslake Central got goals from Eder Lopez and Alex Stickler.

Rockford Boylan 4, Warren 1: At Barrington, Patrick Schulz scored the Blue Devils’ only goal, off an assist from Ryan Foster.

It was the first loss for Warren (4-1-1).

Barrington 3, Lake Zurich 2: At Barrington, Matt Montemayor and Tom Burroughs tallied for the Bears. Jorge Bermudez and John Pothast notched assists for Lake Zurich.

McHenry 2, Antioch 1: Zak Semitka scored off an assist from Jake Jost for the Sequoits (1-1-1).
