Palatine man faces drug charges

A Palatine man was charged Saturday with possession of cannabis and cocaine after being apprehended at a motel in Rolling Meadows. Robert Kallmann, 24, of Goodwin Drive in Palatine, appeared in Bond Court and was charged with possession of controlled substance with about 1 gram of cocaine, possession of a controlled substance of about 22 grams of cannabis, two counts of intent to deliver, along with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, all felonies. On Friday, Rolling Meadows police were called to the Motel 6 on Winnetka Circle and found Kallmann in a room allegedly with the drugs and about $1,650 in cash, said Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Lesley Gool. Cook County circuit court Judge Donna Phelps Felton ordered Kallmann to pay a $15,000 bond and to appear at a hearing at 9 a.m. on Sept. 23 in Room 108 at the courthouse in Rolling Meadows.
