Let’s stop bashing our president

I am thoroughly disgusted with one of your key choices for prominent columns on the Opinion page. His name is Charles Krauthammer.

I have not as yet read an editorial by him that does not directly bash and disrespectfully address our president, Barack Obama.

I may not be as educated or capable of tossing around large words such as “recalcitrant providence,” as evidenced in his Aug. 22 piece, but I do consider myself a man of common sense and a fan of God and true human values.

I quote from another article published the same day in the Herald. “The world unites today, and has been united the last five months or so, I’m really happy to see humanity come together.” These are the words of a man chased from his homeland for 31 years. His name is Ibrahim Mohamed, and he has finally been able to return to his homeland: Libya

I only wish that the majority of the citizens of our great United States could feel this way. Wouldn’t it be great if we could all “just get along.”

Also, wouldn’t it be a miracle if both the Republicans and Democrats would forego the upcoming elections and just support each other using all the billions of dollars spent from the elections to reduce our deficit and help the people of the United States.

I know President Obama hasn’t been able to accomplish all the things he spoke of during his presidential campaign, but who in this world has a magic wand? A lot of the issues he is accused of were started long ago during his predecessor’s administration. Can you say George W. Bush?
