A 17-year-old Schaumburg boy was seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver in the village Thursday night.

Hospital officials told police that the teen's injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
Police are requesting the public's assistance in identifying and locating the driver of the SUV.
The vehicle was described as a Subaru with Texas license plates with an unknown number.
Based on vehicle parts investigators found at the scene, the SUV is believed to have damage to its left front side, a missing driver's side mirror and a missing left side mud flap.
