Takin' it to the streets in Palatine this weekend

The three-day Palatine Street Fest is back this weekend in downtown Palatine.

Hours are 5 p.m.-midnight on Friday, Aug. 26; 11 a.m.-midnight Saturday and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.

Due to the large crowds, pets are prohibited Friday and Saturday. However, pets are welcome for the 11:30 a.m. Sunday Pet Parade.

9 a.m. Cyclefest Ride begins

11 a.m.-8 p.m. Kiddie games

Noon-3 p.m. Face painting

Noon. Street Fest Toss beanbag tournament

12:30 p.m. K-9 demonstration

2 p.m. Mad Science

3 p.m. Emerald City Theatre

5 p.m. J.P. Wood Martial Arts demonstration

6-8 p.m. DJ karaoke
