Lombard to host soccer showcase

The Lombard Firebirds Soccer Club will host its Soccer Showcase from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday Aug. 28, at Four Seasons Park, Finley Road and 16th Street, Lombard.

On Saturday, Firebirds boys players will compete, while Sunday will feature the club’s girls teams. Girls and boys will compete in “friendly” games against teams from Park Ridge, the Bolingbrook Raiders, Downers Grove Roadrunners, Glen Ellyn Lakers, Naperville’s Galaxy Soccer Club and Synergy Soccer Club.

Concessions will be sold at the log cabin during the soccer event.
