Routes 59 and 20 construction to cause delays

The Illinois Department of Transportation is expected to start the next phase of the roadway construction at the intersection of Rte. 59 and Rte. 20/Lake Street on or about Monday, Aug. 29. All northbound traffic on Rte. 59 will be allowed to use the eastbound and westbound ramps onto Lake Street.

All southbound traffic on Rte. 59 will be allowed to use the eastbound and westbound ramps onto Lake Street with the exception of commercial motor vehicles. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on Rte. 59. Motorists should expect delays.
