Sikich Investment Banking announces two appointments

Sikich Investment Banking is pleased to announce that Terrel G. Bressler, Managing Director, and John A. Ebe, Director, have joined the Firm where they will focus on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising assignments in the middle market.

Bressler has 25 years of professional experience as an investment banker, working with clients in many industries including manufacturing, consumer products, food and distribution. To date, he has completed over 70 transactions, including raising nearly $2 billion in debt, mezzanine and equity capital.

Prior to joining Sikich, Bressler was a managing director with the investment banking group at Stout Risius Ross and before that, was the head of the Chicago office of an mergers and acquisitions boutique Cleary Gull. He was also an investment banking Partner with William Blair & Company and held senior investment banking roles with McDonald & Company (now part of Key Bank) and First Chicago Capital Markets (now JP Morgan Chase).

In addition, Bressler spent several years on the buy-side as the director of originations and business development for William Blair Mezzanine Capital Partners (now Merit Capital Partners), a $1 billion mezzanine investment fund advisor. Before starting his investment banking career, he was a member of Arthur Andersen & Company’s Small Business Advisory Division.

Ebe brings over 19 years of professional experience in investment banking, covering a broad range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, shareholder defense assignments, raising capital in the public and private markets and providing general corporate finance advice.

Prior to joining Sikich, Ebe was a director with the investment banking group at Stout Risius Ross and before that, a director with LSC Healthcare Partners, an investment banking boutique focused exclusively on healthcare services companies. Prior to LSC, Ebe was a vice president and founding member of the mergers & acquisitions group at Heller Financial, which focused primarily on private equity firms. Previously, Ebe worked at Robert W. Baird & Co., Inc., ABN AMRO Incorporated, Dean Witter Reynolds and EVEREN Securities, assisting publicly-traded and closely-held companies in various transactions.

Bressler holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Wisconsin and a bachelor of business administration in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.

Ebe holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor of science degree in finance from DePaul University.
