Free Indoor Cycling Week at Schaumburg Park District

Schaumburg Park District will hold a free week of indoor cycling classes Monday, Aug. 29, to Sunday, Sept. 4, at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. Class options available include indoor cycling, RPM and Pump RPM.

“Any indoor cycling class is great for people looking to stay in shape during the fall months,” said Schaumburg Park District Fitness Supervisor Jennie Bever.

Indoor cycling is a group fitness class held on indoor cycling bikes that will have participants losing inches and toning muscles. Classes are available in the morning and evening.

RPM is indoor cycling to the rhythm of powerful music. Participants will take on the terrain as they are led through hills, flats, mountain peaks, time trials and intervals. The program was created by Les Mills, the same company that created BODYPUMP, a barbell class that strengthens the whole body. Classes are available in the morning and evening.

Pump RPM is a two-for-one class that combines 45 minutes of RPM spinning and a 30-minute express BODYPUMP class. This class is only offered in the morning.

All classes are first-come, first-served; no registration is required. Participants are encouraged to bring water and a towel.
