Arlington Heights residents and business people are invited to apply for the next class of the Citizens Police Academy, which educates residents about the inner workings of the police department.

Applications are due Aug. 30 and can be obtained online at www.vah.com or at the information desk of the police station, 200 E. Sigwalt St.

The class will meet from 7-10 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 6 to Nov. 15, at the police department. The class carries no tuition.

Twenty-five students graduated from the 13th citizens academy in May.
