CUB coming to Lake Zurich:

The Citizens Utility Board (CUB) is coming to Lake Zurich on Monday, Aug. 29 to help consumers cut their calling costs by hundreds of dollars a year, officials said. A CUB study has estimated that Illinois callers could be overpaying by more than $1 billion a year, but most could enjoy big savings by making a few simple changes on their phone bills. CUB officials say they has shown phone customers how to save millions of dollars through their website, citizensutilityboard.org, and free clinics that give tips on how to slash local and long-distance bills. The clinic will be at 1 p.m., at the Ela Area Public Library, 275 Mohawk Trail.
