LeTiti celebrates 39 years with alumni dinner

Le Titi de Paris in Arlington Heights will celebrate its 39th anniversary Sunday by inviting former chefs back into the kitchen to create a memorable menu for guests.

The celebratory meal will begin with a tasting at 4 p.m. Sunday, August 21. Five alumni chefs will each prepare a signature dish for that portion of the meal. A five-course dinner prepared by owner and chef Michael Maddox follows at 5:15 p.m.

The alumni chefs include David Esau of Dave's Specialty Foods, Mt. Prospect; Rob Macey, instructor at Kendall College in Chicago; Marc Montgana of Agio Italian Bistro, Palatine, and Steve Jackson, chef for the Chicago Bulls.

“We are thrilled that so many chefs wanted to celebrate Le Titi at this wonderful event. Michael is honored to open his kitchen doors and welcome all this talent back into Le Titi so we can all share in this special occasion together,” said co-owner and chef Susan Maddox.

The dinner, with slow-braised beef short ribs and red onion marmalade paired with a French Cotes du Rhone as the main course, costs $85 per person plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are recommended. The restaurant is at 1015 W, Dundee Road, Arlington Heights. (847) 506-0222.
