Sherman welcomes interventional radiologist to medical staff

Sherman Health is pleased to welcome Ketan N. Amin, MD, interventional radiologist, to its Medical Staff.

"We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Ketan Amin to the Sherman Medical Staff," says Ian Jones, MD, vice president of clinical performance, Sherman Health. "Interventional Radiology will continue to be a very important service to our community as we open new programs, including the new Center for Advanced Liver and Pancreatic Care (CALP)."

"I've had the experience of working with Dr. Amin for our CALP patients and could not be more impressed with his extraordinary talent and attention to detail," says Dr. John Brems, renowned liver and pancreatic surgeon and medical director of CALP.

Dr. Amin received his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine prior to his radiology internship and residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center and radiology fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital. He performs a wide variety of image guided procedures, including Uterine Fibroid Embolizations (UFE), local and regional cancer therapies such as microwave ablations and chemoembolizations, percutanous biliary and urologic interventions, and DVT thrombolysis.

Dr. Amin lives in Berkley, Ill., and enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, and photography.
