Spots still open for 'What Women Should Know About Men's Health'

Spaces are still available for the first in a series of free education programs designed to make sure women are informed about a wide range of health issues.

The Advocate Condell Medical Center programs cover men's health, varicose veins, influenza, breast cancer, cardiac care, nutrition and emotional health. They offer a chance to get updated information and interact with physicians. Giveaways and refreshments also will be available.

The programs are free, but registration is required by calling Health Advisor at 800.323.8622.

The series kicks off on Wednesday, Aug. 24, with “What Women Should Know About Men's Health,” featuring presentations by Advocate Condell physicians Jennifer DeBruler, MD, and Adam Rubinstein, MD, board certified in internal medicine. Women often are the driving forces behind the health care of their spouses and significant others. This program will detail the must-have screening tests for men, and also cover what to expect at a yearly physical and how depression differs in men and women. Spouses and significant others are welcome.
