Poplar Creek Church in Bartlett held Jubilee! on Sunday, a communitywide get-to-know-your-neighbor festival. The church festival, at 300 Schick Road, was home to three participating churches, local businesses, farmers market vendors and several nonprofits, including Kids Against Hunger, which makes meals for children in Nicaragua. The Bartlett International Choir performed, guests played soccer, volleyball and other games.
Rachel Graf, 14, of Bartlett, holds the bag for all the ingredients to be added to a meal bag. Last year, Kids Against Hunger made about 240,000 meals. This year, they hope to make 400,000.
