Set in northern Wisconsin, the adventure series is filled with fun, action-packed anecdotes that will keep even the most reluctant reader turning the page. In the third book, “Snakehead Invasion,” main characters Griffy and Pike become entangled in a treacherous mystery and must stop an invasive species from ruining Lost Land Lake. In “Muskie Attack,” the boys team up to battle a ferocious, world record muskellunge. In “Ancient Elk Hunt,” the duo discover fossils hidden in Lost Land Lake and must fight a desperate, cunning archaeologist for the find.

“Muskie Attack,” “Ancient Elk Hunt” and “Snakehead Invasion” target ages 9 to 12 and are based on the author’s experiences growing up exploring the lakes of Hayward and Minong, Wis. “Ancient Elk Hunt” was inspired by the real discovery of the Silver Beach Elk near Barnes, Wis. Published by iUniverse Inc., all three books won the online publishing company’s Editor’s Choice Award. “Muskie Attack” and “Ancient Elk Hunt” were recently named Star Award winners by the publisher and also received its Reader’s Choice Award.
