Mexico domestic auto sales to grow 6.2%

Mexico domestic sales of cars and light trucks will rise 6.2 percent to 871,490 units this year, said the dealership association known as AMDA.

“We believe that insecurity and a lack of confidence from consumers will persist for the rest of 2011, preventing greater growth of sales,” said Guillermo Rosales, the association’s director of institutional relations, according to an e-mailed statement today.
