Barrington Lyric Opera of Chicago to open season

On Sunday, Sept. 18, the Barrington Chapter Lyric Opera of Chicago (BCLOC) invites members and guests to join them at 2 p.m. for its annual event to support Lyric Opera of Chicago’s Educational Outreach Initiatives.

Dede Wamburg has graciously offered her majestic 70-acre “Hidden Ponds” estate in Barrington Hills to be the spectacular setting for this charming event.

International bass-baritone Benjamin LeClair will enthrall members and guests with famous opera arias and Broadway show tunes. Accompanying him will be concert pianist, Paul Dykstra.

Immediately following will be the chapter’s unique wine and sumptuous hors d’oeuvres buffet.

Tickets are $100 for BCLOC members; $125 for guests. Send your check (with name and phone number) by Saturday, Sept. 10, to Margit Vogel, 260-A Timber Ridge Lane, Lake Barrington, IL 60010.

For information, call Margit Vogel, (847) 304-0422.

A beautiful way to begin the fall social season.
