Dance school, autism society collaborate on program

A unique collaboration between a ballet school in Hanover Park and the Northwest Suburban Autism Society of America has resulted in “Le Ballet Des Moments Saisis,” which will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14 at Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts, 201 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg.

The show is celebration of dance, showcasing original contemporary and classical movement, and featuring a special presentation about autism awareness made by local educators, family members and friends of children with autism.

This performance showcases the abilities of a diverse group of individuals and organizers say it will leave the audience with a newfound understanding of Autism.
