Schaumburg Twp's Disability Services Luau Picnic

Guests at this year's Schaumburg Township Disability Services Luau picnic participated in nature and science exploration activities by Brookfield Zoo provided by state Representatives Fred Crespo and Michelle Mussman.

Guests also enjoyed entertainment by DJ Eric Brandt, The Chicago Slaughter mascot ‘Sarge', a clown and magicians on Saturday, Aug. 6.

The picnic was co-sponsored by ITAC (Illinois Telecommunications Access Corporation), Bank of America, The Schaumburg Township Human Services Fund, Village Tavern and Grill and The Schaumburg-Hoffman Lions Club.

Guests lunched on chicken fingers from Village Tavern & Grill, hot dogs and delicious potato salad donated by Tasty Catering.

Frozen custard desserts were provided by Culver's of Schaumburg. Bingo was the highlight of the picnic with a chance to win a prize donated by the many local businesses.

Volunteers and SWAP personnel turned out in great numbers to help and the picnic tables and trash cans were provided by the Schaumburg Park District.

The picnic was a successful event because of the many individuals, businesses and organizations who contributed their time and financial support.
