Documents turned over to attorney in 1957 killing
The defense attorney for a man charged in the 1957 kidnapping and murder of a 7-year-old Illinois girl has received about 1,300 pages of documents related to the case.
The (DeKalb) Daily Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/pY4gzX ) the pages include interview results. The DeKalb County state's attorney's office turned over the documents during a Wednesday court hearing.
Seventy-one-year-old Jack Daniel McCullough has been charged in the death of Maria Ridulph (RIHD'-uhlf), his former neighbor in the small community of Sycamore.
McCullough denies wrongdoing and is jailed on $3 million bond.
His public defender, Regina Harris, tells the newspaper that the information is "voluminous" and she hasn't seen it yet. She didn't immediately return messages seeking comment from The Associated Press.
McCullough is due in court Aug. 17.
