Bikers ride in Palatine’s Shelter Inc. fundraiser

Shelter Inc. hosted its second annual Shelter-A-Child Motorcycle Run on Sunday, July 31. Almost 100 riders met at City Limits Harley Davidson in Palatine for a scenic 60-mile ride through Northern Illinois, gathering at JJ Twigs Pizza & Pub in Wauconda for a post ride celebration.

JJ Twigs donated food and beverages for the celebration and ’80s cover band, Fast Times, volunteered to entertain the crowd. All the proceeds from the run will be used to support Shelter’s programs and services.

Shelter Inc. is a nonprofit child welfare agency providing emergency and longer term housing for abused and neglected children and adolescents in the Northwest suburbs.
