Bloomingdale Navy 2011 Western DuPage Palomino Champions

Congratulations to the Bloomingdale Baseball & Softball Association's (BBSA) 18U Boys Palomino baseball team for winning the 2011 Western DuPage Palomino Championship.

The team competed against 19 other park district teams during the summer and finished the season with a record of 17-2.

The team went undefeated in some very competitive playoff games to win the championship! 13 of the 14 players on the team played baseball in the BBSA since t-ball and have been managed by Coach Brian Cauwels throughout those 13 years.

“I couldn't be prouder of these boys,” said coach Cauwels. “I've seen these 5-year-old t-ball players grow up to become young men who still love to play the game of baseball and that have developed friendships that will last a lifetime as a result.”

“They'll all be off to college in a few weeks preparing for their futures which I hope will include coaching their own children's baseball teams one day!”
