Fundraiser to benefit 4-H

The University of Illinois Lake County Extension Foundation is hosting a barbecue and family festival from 10 a.m. to dusk Saturday, Aug. 13 at the Lake County fairgrounds, Midlothian and Peterson roads in Grayslake. The event features food and other vendors, live entertainment, dancing, Kid Zone, silent auction and other activities. Funds will assist in developing programs for the more than 460 youths aged 5 to 18 who participate in 4-H. Vendors, talent and volunteers are being sought. Call (847) 223-8627.
