Ÿ A scratch approximately 8 feet long damaged the paint on the driver’s side of a 2005 Ford F150 sometime between 1:15 and 6 p.m. Saturday while the truck was parked at Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Ave., in Elgin, according to police reports. The vehicle owner expects the damage will cost more than $1,000 to fix, reports said.

Ÿ A stereo/TV unit, wallet, iPhone and several bottles of perfume were all taken from a 2005 Chevy truck sometime between 8 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday while it was parked in a parking lot in the 200 block of South Lyle Avenue in Elgin, according to police reports. The truck was locked overnight, reports said.

Ÿ The rear window of a vehicle was shattered sometime between 3:30 and 10 a.m. Saturday while it was parked at a residence in the 800 block of Parkway Avenue in Elgin, according to police reports.
