• Santiago Farias, 20, of the 200 block of Coolidge Avenue, Barrington, was arrested July 22 and charged with felony criminal sexual assault by force. His court date is Aug. 10.

• Thomas Abbatemarco, 37, of the 200 block of West Hillside Avenue, Barrington, was arrested July 23 at his home and charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery and domestic battery.

• Julie A. McPike, 49, of the 200 block of Beverly Road, Barrington, was arrested July 28 and charged with hosting an underage drinking party at her home. Arrested and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor were: Mackenzie McPike, 18, of the 200 block of Beverly Road, Barrington; Samuel J. Oh, 18, of the 0-100 block of Heath Way, South Barrington; Amir G. Singh, 18, of the 0-100 block of Woodhaven Drive, South Barrington; Michael W. Ciulini, 18, of the 1900 block of Brindlewood, Hoffman Estates. Their court date is Aug. 29.

• Vandals damaged the rear door on a van parked at Franklin and Ela streets July 23 or 24.

• Thieves stole merchandise valued at $350 out of True Bleu, 315 Lageschulte St., July 26.

• A vandal hurled a rock through the front window at The Canteen Restaurant, 214 S. Hough St., July 27.

• Thieves stole a cellphone on the 1400 block of South Cascade Court July 27.

• Thieves stole a children's bicycle out of the front yard at a home on the 100 block of Waverly Road July 29.

• A vandal hurled a rock through the front window at Digital Venture Corp., 207 W. Northwest Hwy., July 29.

Buffalo Grove

• Thieves stole money, laptop computer, video game, computer webcam and 15 computer games during a party at a home on the 1100 block of Hidden Lake Drive between 10 p.m. Aug. 2 and 1 a.m. Aug. 3.

• Vandals smashed 22 mailboxes in the area of the 600 block of Raintree Road between 9 p.m. July 31 and 7 a.m. Aug. 1.

• Vandals spray painted graffiti on the south side wall at Ivy Hall School, 1072 Ivy Hall Lane, between 7:30 p.m. July 29 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 1.

• Everardo Hernandez, 28, of the 200 block of Renee Terrace, Wheeling, was arrested around 1:55 p.m. July 31 on the 100 block of Buffalo Grove Road and charged with illegal transportation of open liquor and driving under the influence of alcohol.

• Bonnie Leigh Knight, 48, of the 100 block of Fountain Grass Circle, Bartlett, was arrested around 10:30 a.m. July 29 at Walgreens, 15 N. Buffalo Grove Road, and charged with two counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, and illegal possession of prescription forms after she reportedly tried to use a fraudulent prescription to purchase a controlled pain medication. She also was arrested on a warrant.

• A motorist driving a red Mazda 2 with black rims pumped $50 worth of gas at the Mobil gas station, 10 W. Dundee Road, around 3:20 p.m. July 29 and drove away without paying.

• Burglars stole a laptop computer out of the kitchen table in a home on the 400 block of Mayfair Lane between 11 p.m. July 29 and 8:30 a.m. July 30. Entry may have been made through unlocked sliding doors.
