White Sox need all new management

Why must we White Sox fans put up with this ongoing misery? Game after game, we are subjected to the same old story. The team we hope will go to the playoffs each year simply does not deliver.

Monty Python (aka Ozzie Guillen) and his sidekick Igor (aka Joey Cora) hang around the dugout and try to make us believe that the two of them know what they are doing. Kenny Williams has proven to be an incompetent general manager, simply by permitting Monty and his gang to continue to be the “leaders” on the field.

Williams made a good move by acquiring Jim Thome. But then he let Thome get away and go to our arch rivals, the Twins. So how does Williams fill the Thome gap? He signs an over-the-hill Ken Griffey Jr. Nice move!

So, when Griffey proves to all of us that he simply can’t play anymore, Williams makes another move and signs Adam Dunn. We start with Thome, and just go down hill from there to the present designated hitter status — a player who can’t even bat .200.

And let’s not forget the inspiring team batting average of .250. Should we dump some of these subpar batters or do what really should be done — ax Greg Walker. With such a weak batting lineup, you have to look at who is really the ineffective influence here.

The White Sox spent a lot of money acquiring some big dollar talent in Rios and Dunn. Money down the drain. And you wonder why ticket prices and food prices are so high. We the fans are paying for this subpar talent. Mr. Einhorn should really sit down and ask the big question: Should Williams, Guillen, Cora and Walker be back next year?

I hope not! Back up the truck before this gets any worse.
