Des Plaines spa loses $5,200 in break-in

Burglars have broken into another Northwest suburban spa, with the loss this time put at $5,200, Des Plaines police reported.

Burglars broke the front glass door at Spa di da, 1473 Market St., between 10:55 and 11:07 p.m. Sunday, July 31, forced open the cash register and an office door, and stole money.

The burglary was similar to five salon burglaries last week in Arlington Heights and Palatine where cash and hair supplies were taken.
