Cook County prosecutors dropped charges of misdemeanor unlawful videotaping against a 46-year-old Arlington Heights man who police said took photos of a woman at a Mount Prospect retail store.

However, court records indicate Tadashi Kitamura, 46, of the 1700 block of North Clarence, was convicted of disorderly conduct related to the July 2010 incident.

According to police reports, a woman noticed that a man was following her around a Walmart in Mount Prospect and became nervous. When she was in the health and beauty department, the man bent down as if to tie his shoe, but another person saw him point a camera under the woman's dress, police said. The person notified the woman and police were contacted.

Kitamura was arrested around 7:30 p.m. July 22 at Walmart, 930 Mount Prospect Plaza, Rand and Central roads.
