Walsh announces plan for 10 town-hall meetings in 10 days

Congressman Joe Walsh announced plans Tuesday to host will host 10 town-hall meetings in 10 days throughout his 8th Congressional District.

Walsh, a Republican from McHenry, will be available to answer questions and address concerns about federal legislation. Members of Walsh’s staff will also be available to assist residents with federal casework.

The 10-stop tour will kick off at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at the Wauconda American Legion hall, 515 S. Main Street.

He’ll hold a second meeting from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at his district office, 50 E. Grand Ave., Fox Lake.

The third meeting will take place from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Woodstock North High School, 3000 Raffel Road, in Woodstock.

“I was sent to Washington to represent the people of the 8th District of Illinois, and it’s critical that I spend as much time as possible back home to hear what they have to say,” Walsh said.
