Schaumburg woman guilty of unlawfully possessing a prescription pad
A Schaumburg woman was sentenced to 30 months probation and ordered to participate in a treatment program in exchange for pleading guilty to unauthorized possession of a prescription pad.
Hoffman Estates police pulled Bonnie Knight, 48, over in January after they say she ran a red light. A search turned up a prescription pad belonging to a Schaumburg dentist with 34 signed slips.
The court also ordered Knight to pay fines totaling $1,135 and sentenced her to 15 days in Cook County Jail, with credit for five days she already served. She must participate in Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities, a program for defendants with substance, alcohol or mental health issues.
