Barrington area soccer tourney is Saturday

Barrington Youth & Family Services will host its annual Summer Soccer Program Tournament, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, July 30 at Faith Lutheran Church, 2525 Helm Road, Carpentersville. More than 60 students, grades 4-12, are playing in BYFS’ free program, practicing with BYFS counselor Brian Garibaldi. The Barrington Breakfast Rotary donated socks, shin guards, jerseys and soccer balls and will man the lunch grills with BYFS staff at the tournament and family picnic. Awards and photos will be presented for 4th-6th grades at 12:30 p.m. and for 7th grade and older at 1:30 p.m. Barrington Youth & Family Services is a nonprofit social service agency offering professional counseling, outreach and prevention programming to Barrington/Carpentersville area youth and their families.
