Two men are facing drug charges after authorities found about 800 grams of cocaine this week at a Lisle condominium.
Adolfo Ortiz, 27, of Lisle, was charged with felony unlawful possession of between 400 to 900 grams of cocaine with intent to deliver following a search of his home on Monday, according to police.
Wheaton resident Rene Cruz Dominquez, 26, also was arrested on cocaine possession charges for having between one and 15 grams, police said.
The investigation started in Carol Stream as part of a joint operation between the Carol Stream Police Department and the DuPage Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Group, according to Carol Stream police Cmdr. Ken George.
The drugs discovered have an estimated street value of $240,000, George said.
Authorities also seized approximately $15,000, a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee and drug manufacturing equipment such as weights and scales, police said.
Ortiz's bail was set at $200,000, and Dominquez's was set at $100,000. Both must post 10 percent to be released from the county jail.
