Micky Dolenz in concert in Elk Grove Tuesday

None other than Micky Dolenz, lead singer of the Monkees, will be onstage in Elk Grove Village Tuesday to wrap up the village’s free concert series.

Dolenz is appearing as part of the village’s Mid-Summer Classics concert series. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. on The Village Green, 901 Wellington Ave.

Dolenz and the Monkees has sold more than 65 million records worldwide, with 12 top 40 hits, including “Last Train to Clarksville,” “I’m a Believer,” “Pleasant Valley Sunday,” “Daydream Believer,” “A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You” and “(I’m Not Your) Steppin’ Stone.”

The concerts are jointly sponsored by the Village of Elk Grove and the Elk Grove Park District.

Pizza, sandwiches, pasta, water, and pop will be available at family-friendly prices.
