Gum giant Wrigley leaving Wrigley Building

Anybody who wants to talk gum with the folks at the Wrigley will soon have to go somewhere other than the Wrigley Building.

The Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co. says it's leaving its iconic building on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago to set up shop at its research and development center on Goose Island on the city's North Side.

The company has been moving employees to Goose Island since 2005 and says all its employees will be there by the end of next year.

Stubborn residents who still call the city's tallest building the Sears Tower and not it's true name, the Willis Tower, will be pleased to learn to the gum giant says it will push to keep the Wrigley name on the building.
