Benet’s Young commits to Duquesne

Add Nora Young to the lengthy list of Benet volleyball players who will compete at the Division I level.

The 6-foot senior outside has committed to the University of Duquesne.

Young, whose older sister Sierra is now playing at Cornell, also is a member of the First Alliance club team that recently finished 10th in the nation.

“Duquesne is getting one of the most improved players in the Chicagoland area,” Benet coach Brad Baker said. “She has worked extremely hard to turn herself into a six-rotation outside. Nora is very long and has learned to hit a variety of shots.”

Duquesne was a perfect fit for Young.

“I knew the moment I walked on campus that it was the right fit,” Young said. “I feel that I have a lot to offer program and can’t wait to get there.”
