Witnesses, good Samaritans from North Aurora crash sought

North Aurora police are looking for witnesses to a July crash that critically injured a motorcyclist.

Accident investigators have learned that several people stopped to check on the health of the victim before emergency personnel arrived, and suspect that some people may have seen the crash.

“No piece of information is too small,” said Lt. Scott Buziecki, in a prepared statement.

The crash happened at 11:45 p.m. July 8 at Route 31 near Interstate 88. Daniel D. Donaldson of Bolingbrook was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on Route 31 when he hit the side of a Chevrolet Avalanche being driven north and turning left on to the I-88 entrance ramp.

Donaldson remains in critical condition at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

Witnesses or anyone else who has information about the crash is asked to call Sgt. Dan Cyko at (630) 897-8705, ext. 760.
