Depot Street improvements

The north side of Depot Street in Antioch, will have a wider bike path come September. The improvements include creating a 10-foot-wide bike path along the north side of the road and a left-turn lane into Tim Osmond Sports Park. The wider path will also be distinctly marked for bikers and pedestrians and will be set apart from the road by a rumble strip. The project will be funded by a $500,000 state economic development grant and will be finished for $537,409 by Peter Baker and Sons from Lake Bluff. Due to a halt in a community development block grant, the Depot Street project is the only road improvement project in Antioch this year.
