Donate goods to Environmental Defenders

Submitted by Environmental Defenders of McHenry County

Got stuff? You can donate those unwanted and unused items to the Environmental Defenders of McHenry County.

In preparation for its summer garage sale, the organization will be taking donations of gently used items from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, July 23, and Monday, July 25, to Wednesday, July 27, at the Algonquin Township Road District garage, 3702 Route 14, between Crystal Lake and Cary.

What type of things will be accepted? Just about anything that is re-sellable, with a few exceptions: small appliances and electronics must be in working order, no monitors or TVs, no clothes, no baby carriers or cribs, no large appliances.

Not sure if they’ll take it? Call the office at (815) 338-0393 or email mcdef@owc.net.

Sale dates for the summer garage sale are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 28-30.
