Buffalo Grove Park District’s “The Wedding Singer” opens Friday

The Buffalo Grove Park District summer musical, “The Wedding Singer,” opens this weekend with performances held at the Stevenson High School West Auditorium, 2 Stevenson Drive, in Lincolnshire.

Big Deal Productions, a program of the park district, will put on performances at 7:30 p.m. on July 22, 23, 29 and 30 and at 2 p.m. July 24 and 31.

Based on the popular movie of the same name, the musical is a rockin’ blast from the 80s past. The show features a retro score containing songs such as “Grow Old With Me,” “Come Out of the Dumpster,” and “Casualty of Love.”
