Lake County focusing on wrong priorities

The article on a recent front page of the Daily Herald (“New way of getting ‘round”) discloses that not only one but two roundabouts are being constructed at successive intersections at Hunt Club, Millburn and Wadsworth roads. I travel these intersections daily and have never encountered any form of congestion or traffic flow problems. Yet, the first intersection just to the west involving Millburn/Rt. 45/Grass Lake Rd.(i.e. The Millburn Strangler) continues to be the scourge of drivers. The rush hour backups are horrendous and have been for many years. Why isn’t the county focusing on the real traffic flow problems instead of wasting taxpayer dollars on unwanted and unnecessary “improvements”. I also find it ironic that Lake County can afford these kind of expenditures, yet cannot afford to adequately fund quality care for the residents of Winchester House. Sad, truly sad.
