Cary Park District to host dog show

Is your dog the smartest? Happiest? Most loved? Best fed? Does he or she have the longest ears? Shortest legs? Or loudest bark?

Show off your best friend and let your doggy be the star of the show as the Cary Park District hosts a kids’ dog show from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 23, at Lions Park, behind the preschool building.

Dogs must be on a leash at all times and be able to interact with other dogs and humans. The contest is open to children ages 5 to 13 and their dog of any age and size. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration is required. Cost is $5 for residents and $8 for nonresidents per child/dog team and is accepted at the Cary Park District Community Center, 255 Briargate Road, Cary.
