Show off your best friend and let your doggy be the star of the show as the Cary Park District hosts a kids' dog show from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 23, at Lions Park, behind the preschool building.

Dogs must be on a leash at all times and be able to interact with other dogs and humans. The contest is open to children ages 5 to 13 and their dog of any age and size. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration is required. Cost is $5 for residents and $8 for nonresidents per child/dog team and is accepted at the Cary Park District Community Center, 255 Briargate Road, Cary.
