Arlington teens charged with overturning speed radar trailer

Three Arlington Heights teens have been arrested on charges of turning over a village speed radar trailer, police said.

Nicholas Saegebrecht, 18, of the 1500 block of South Yale, andArlington Heights, John Serola, 19, of the 800 block of North Salem, Arlington Heights, and James Hannon, 18, of the 1000 block of North Kaspar, Arlington Heights, were arrested around 5:45 a.m. July 16 at Arlington Heights Road and White Oak Street and charged with felony criminal damage to government property.

Police reports said a witness on the 1500 block of South Fernandez said he saw the youths tip over an Arlington Heights speed radar trailer, then speed away in a Cadillac. Officers found and stopped the car.

Their court date is Aug. 22.
