Vernon Hills names pageant winners

Twenty-nine contestants vied for titles at the 2011 Vernon Hills Pageant June 26 at the Sullivan Community Center.

Contestants included 10 Little Miss, 16 Junior Miss and three Miss contestants.

The 2011 winners were: Little Miss Vernon Hills Madisyn Chiarello, 8; Junior Miss Vernon Hills Grace Christensen, 12; and, Miss Vernon Hills Cami Christopulos, 17.

Queens will participate in several activities around Lake County throughout the year, including Vernon Hills Summer Celebration and National Night Out, as well as the Run from the Cops 5K run.

In November, they will compete against the other town queens from around Lake County in the Lake County Community pageant.

Winners were honored at the Vernon Hills village board meeting July 6.

Also honored were: Valerie Burda, first runner-up, and Mikayla Siegler, second runner-up, for Little Miss Vernon Hills; Kelly O’Bryan, first runner-up, and Jordyn Cotton, second runner-up, for Junior Miss; and Katie Lange, first runner-up, and Natalie Chiarello, second runner-up, for Miss Vernon Hills.
