Would-be Millionaires audition at Arlington Park

Chicago-area TV-show contestants must have plenty to offer, judging from the number of auditions here lately. On Friday, it was “Who Wants to be a Millionaire,” which drew a crowd to Arlington Park. But this was nothing like “The X Factor,” which held auditions in April at Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates. In contrast to those contestants' attention-getting antics, “Millionaire” wannabes lined up for the opportunity to take a timed multiple-choice test. Some wore suits and ties. Those who made the grade got an interview with a producer, and maybe a shot at nationwide fame. The show's 10th season begins Sept. 5.
