Meet Peter Max in Schaumburg on July 30

Artist Peter Max will be at the Wentworth Gallery inside Woodfield Shopping Center, Schaumburg on Saturday, July 30, to meet fans of his work.

Max will be at the gallery from 4-7 p.m.

The special display that evening will feature Max’s 9/11 10th anniversary paintings and his portraits of musicians Steven Tyler and Taylor Swift.

Known for their vibrant colors, his paintings are exhibited in hundreds of museums and galleries worldwide.

Max has been successively called a pop icon, neo-fauvist, abstract expressionist and the U.S. “Painter Laureate.” He has painted the last seven presidents of the United States and the world’s best loved celebrities.

This exhibit is the premier presentation of both Taylor Swift album covers, as well as paintings of Max favorites: Vase of Flowers; Woodstock; the NFL helmets; Statue of Liberty; the famous “Flag” pieces; “Umbrella Man;” and the 10-cent stamp titled “Preserve the Environment.”

There will also be presentations of never-before-seen celebrity portraits.
