Tollway meeting rescheduled

The Illinois State Toll Highway Authority has rescheduled its “Capital Planning Forum” in Lake County to July 15 at 9 a.m. It was originally scheduled for July 14. The purpose of the meeting is for the agency to collect input into its 10-year capital plan, and present future needs, funding challenges, and emerging priority projects. Extending Route 53 north is among the longer-term possibilities being considered, and the project has been endorsed by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning. The meeting is at the Lake County Central Permit Facility, 500 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville. Public comment will be accepted at the meeting.
