Geneva Pet Carnival honors boy’s mememory

Submitted by Bobbi Panter Products

The fourth annual Pet Carnival will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 16 at Petco, 1885 S. Randall Road, Geneva.

The carnival will celebrate the memory of 10-year-old animal lover Luke Laudolff. Luke packed a lot of living into his almost 10½ years of life on this earth. From the time he was a very young child he loved all living creatures. With these interests he was a natural for volunteer work in the Kids’N Kritters program at the Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin. Unfortunately, his life ended while he was young.

Now, his parents want his memory and love of animals to live on even though he is gone. They chose Anderson as a charity that family and friends could contribute to in memory of Luke. This is a fitting gift in memory of a boy who loved “all creatures great and small.” Luke’s legacy lives on and continues to impact the lives of animals. The carnival will include beauty consultations in the pet lounge, advice from pet intuitive, pet caricatures, pet massages, snow cones and new this year — a photo booth from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Pets also will be on hand and available for adoption from the Anderson Animal Shelter.

A special “Luke Gift” for your new pet will be given with every adoption. A silent auction with a variety of items from Cubs baseball tickets, local business gift certificates, gift baskets for both pets and their owners, and downtown Chicago and Geneva hotel stays will be held during the event as well.
